I couldn't disagree more. The only reason Pollock "succeeded" in this is because it's all he did. he made drip paintings his identity (brand). whereas the other painters did a wide variety of other work. It would seem the energy needed to make it work demands superhuman abilities to keep coherent, so they played it safe.
