Will a route with high volume of mail and parcels with about 30 more stops but short walking distance to the door be better under RRECS than a low volume mail route with longer driveways and apartments where you walk up stairs with less parcels? Is it to my understanding that you will only get credit for a stop at a box if they have mail that day.

That report, with the 30'ish ppm number, is TOTAL on the street time for DPS. The total on the street time for DPS in RRECS has been carved up. There is time in: a) box time --> DPS makes you a two bundle system gains you 0.0544 minutes per box b) box time --> Verify letter address (the notorious 86 ppm) c) load time --> actual daily number.

There is no time standard for other mail prep, like dumping sacks, so I'm not sure how a carrier wlll be credited. Also no time credit for withdrawing "raw mail" or prebundled flats. Not sure how that will be counted.
